Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash Near Maitland A tragic three-vehicle crash in the Hunter Region has claimed the life of a 44-year-old man. The accident occurred around 7:30 PM yesterday on Cessnock Road in Gillieston Heights, approximately 5 km south of Maitland. Emergency services responded promptly to the incident. NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the other drivers involved. A 40-year-old man was transported to John Hunter Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while a 53-year-old woman was assessed at the scene for minor injuries.
