A man has been charged following a dramatic stabbing incident in Merewether, near Newcastle, earlier today. Around 7:05 am, emergency services rushed to Selwyn Street after receiving reports of a violent confrontation. According to police, a 33-year-old man was allegedly stabbed by another man who had broken into a neighboring property. The victim suffered stab wounds to his leg and hand and was treated on the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being transported to John Hunter Hospital. He is currently in stable condition.
