Five Arrested by Strike Force ALDUS

Strike Force ALDUS was established in March 2022 to investigate ongoing break and enter offences within the Port Stephens Hunter District including Greenhills Shopping Centre.

As a result, on Monday the 28th March 2022, a 21-year-old male and 30-year-old male were arrested and charged for break and enter, aggravated break and enter, trespass and stealing offences.



Monday 28th March a 14-year-old male was arrested and charged with Aggravated Break and Enter inflict ABH, Aggravated Break and Enter – Person Home, Steal Motor Vehicle x 2, Break and Enter and 1 x outstanding warrant. The offences took place in Woodberry, Beresfield and Wallsend. On arrest he was returned to Maitland Police Station and charged with the aforementioned offences.

Heatherbrae

A joint investigation identified a 23-year-old male responsible for two robberies that occurred in Heatherbrae and Cameron Park. He was arrested and charged and has been bail refused until next court appearance.



On Wednesday 30th March, a 46-year-old male who was an outstanding DV offender, was arrested in Metford and charged with Armed with Intent X 2, Breach AVO X 4, Intimidation, Breach Bail, Affray, Larceny, Malicious Damage, Custody of Knife, Assault ABH, Assault Police. He had been actively avoiding police. He was returned to Maitland Police Station where he was charged with the aforementioned offences. The male was bail refused until next court appearance.
