
GOVT LOOKS TO EXTEND LIFE OF LIDDELL – $300 MILLION PER YEAR
The Australia government is looking into extending the life of the Liddell coal power station which is due to close down in 2023 due to its age, AGL will no longer pay to run the aging plant which is under-producing power. This means if the Australian Government keeps this plant open for an extra 3 years it will cost tax payers $900 Million to keep the aging plant open.
