In the early hours of this morning, two teenagers are set to face court after an alleged high-speed pursuit near Newcastle. Around 2:50 AM, police patrolling Newcastle Link Road, Cameron Park, tried to stop a Holden Captiva. When the vehicle failed to stop, a dramatic chase ensued towards Wallsend and Shortland. The car, suspected to be stolen from a Wallsend address last weekend, was eventually found abandoned in North Lambton after police lost sight of it in Waratah West.
