Hunter Man’s Epic Cross-Country Ride for Men’s Mental Health Gains Momentum
A young man from the Hunter region is turning heads across the country as he cycles thousands of kilometres from Perth to the Hunter Region, raising awareness and funds for men’s mental health.
The journey, which began on April 1, has been highlighted by Dan Repacholi, who praised Connor’s efforts as both inspiring and deeply important.
Connor has taken on the challenge to spark conversations around mental health—an issue many men still struggle to openly discuss. His goal is not just to complete the ride, but to encourage simple, meaningful check-ins between mates that could make a life-saving difference.
The ride also carries a fundraising target of $50,000, with proceeds going to Talk2MeBro and the Black Dog Institute—two organisations at the forefront of supporting mental health across Australia.
Connor’s motivation stems from personal experience, having witnessed the impact mental health struggles can have on individuals, families, and communities.
Supporters are being urged to get behind the initiative by donating, sharing his journey, or simply checking in on someone they know.

According to national statistics, mental illness affects one in five Australians each year, reinforcing the importance of initiatives like Connor’s ride in breaking the stigma and encouraging open conversations.
