In a recent development, a 45-year-old man has been arrested by Lake Macquarie Detectives following an investigation into alleged sexual touching incidents.
The investigation, initiated by Lake Macquarie Police District in February 2024, was prompted by reports of two separate incidents involving women in their 40s in Wallsend and Fennel Bay.
The suspect was apprehended on Mitchell Street, North Rothbury, on Thursday, March 21, 2024. He faces charges of sexually touching another person without consent, as well as break and enter and commit serious indictable offense.
The accused has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before Singleton Local Court on Friday, March 22, 2024.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to authorities.
