A man is due to appear in court after being charged with assaulting the older man in an alleged altercation in Cessnock last month.
Reportedly, on Tuesday, March 18th, the man approached the older man at a service station on Aderdare Road in Aberdare. After a brief verbal argument, the man allegedly shoved and hit the older man multiple times in the head and chest.
Following an investigation by Hunter Valley Police District officers, the man was arrested by police from the Port Stephens-Hunter Police District at a residence in Farley on April 12th. He was subsequently charged with assault and is set to appear before the Maitland Local Court today.
