FORSTER, NSW – A man in his 50s has been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital following a paragliding accident on Saturday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 4:30 pm, prompting a response from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and NSW Ambulance. Paramedics, alongside the helicopter’s critical care medical team, treated the man at the scene for chest and leg injuries before transporting him to hospital.
Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the accident. Emergency services reminded the public to always take safety precautions when engaging in aerial sports.
