
Man Charged After Alleged Attempt to Set Fire to Gosford Courthouse
A 44-year-old man has been charged following an alleged act of malicious damage at the Gosford Courthouse on the NSW Central Coast. Police were called to the courthouse on Donnison Street about 7.40am on Thursday, 12 February 2026, after reports the building had been damaged overnight. Officers from Brisbane Water Police District found the front door damaged, with liquid—believed to be an accelerant—poured near a window. Police allege CCTV footage shows a man at the courthouse about 2.50am, throwing a paver through the front door before pouring the liquid. A crime scene was established and an investigation commenced.
