Man charged after alleged fatal hit and run – Warners Bay

A teenager has died and a man charged with dangerous driving, after an alleged hit and run in Lake Macquarie overnight. Shortly after midnight (Saturday 29 July 2023), officers attached to Lake Macquarie Police District were called to Macquarie Road at Warners Bay, about 800m north of the Medcalf Street intersection, after reports of a crash which occurred about 5.30pm on Friday 28 July 2023.
