Maitland, 06 July 2024 – A man has been charged following an alleged knife-throwing incident in Maitland earlier this week. On Wednesday, 3 July 2024, at approximately 8:45 PM, a man reported an alleged wounding at a business on George Street, Morpeth, to Maitland Police Station. According to police from the Port Stephens-Hunter Police District, an altercation occurred between two men, during which a 36-year-old man allegedly threw a knife at a 26-year-old man, resulting in a serious eye injury.
