A 53-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a 19-year-old woman on the Central Coast last month.
The woman was last seen around 3am on Sunday, 23 March, near The Entrance Road, Erina. Her body was found in Erina Creek later that afternoon, initially not considered suspicious.
Following a police investigation, the man was arrested in Surry Hills just after midday on Monday, 21 April. He now faces a murder charge along with 11 unrelated domestic violence offences.
Police allege the man was involved in a physical altercation with the victim. He has been refused bail and will face Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday.
