Manly-Warringah and Newcastle Knights Battle to a Thrilling Draw at Glen Willow Oval

In a highly anticipated clash between two top teams, Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles and Newcastle Knights battled to a thrilling 32-32 draw at Glen Willow Oval in Mudgee.

The match was an absolute nail-biter, with both teams scoring six tries each. Manly-Warringah’s tries came from Haumole Olakau’atu, Christian Tuipulotu, Brad Parker, Kelma Tuilagi, Kaeo Weekes, and Reuben Garrick. In terms of conversions, both teams converted four out of six attempts, with Reuben Garrick being the standout performer for Manly-Warringah with four successful kicks.

There were also attempts at one and two-point field goals, but neither team managed to convert them successfully. However, both teams did receive one sin bin each, with Haumole Olakau’atu receiving a yellow card for Manly-Warringah and Lachlan Fitzgibbon for Newcastle.

At halftime, the Knights had a narrow lead of 22-16, but the Sea Eagles rallied in the second half to even the scores and force a draw.

Overall, it was an enthralling display of Rugby League, and both teams can be proud of their performances. The draw means that Manly-Warringah remains in the top four, while Newcastle stays in the top eight.
