Deputy Mayor Mitchell Griffin announced on Facebook that the Morpeth Bridge will be illuminated in green and gold tonight. This initiative is part of a wider celebration, with iconic NSW landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House also participating.
In his post, Griffin encouraged residents to celebrate Green and Gold Day on Friday, August 2, and to show their support for Australia’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
“Aussie, Aussie, Aussie – oui, oui, oui,” he concluded, urging the community to cheer loud and proud.
