A 19-year-old motorcyclist has died following a collision with a ute in the Hunter Region on Thursday evening.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of the Golden Highway and Putty Road in Mount Thorley about 6pm, after reports a motorcycle and an Isuzu D-Max had collided.
Police say the motorcyclist was attempting to turn onto the Golden Highway when the eastbound ute struck him. The young man died at the scene.
The 60-year-old driver of the Isuzu was uninjured but taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from the Hunter Valley Police District established a crime scene, and investigations into the crash are ongoing. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
