Early this morning at 1:25am, Fire and Rescue NSW Station 392 Muswellbrook responded to a report of a car fire behind Muswellbrook Hospital. Upon arrival, crews found eight cars engulfed in flames. The incident was quickly upgraded, calling in additional resources, including Pumper 208, Tanker 208, Edinglassie Rural Fire Brigade, and Hunter Valley Police District.
The fire posed a significant threat to the hospital as cars were parked close to the building. However, thanks to the swift and effective actions of the firefighters, the cars closest to the building were extinguished first, preventing the fire from spreading to the hospital.
