Heavy swells at Newcastle Beach has caused a section of the southern sea wall to catastrophically fail and collapse. Ten metre waves were reported at Coffs Harbour by a wave rider buoy according to Weatherzone Newcastle City Council told ABC Newcastle that a contractor will assess the damage when it’s safe to do so.
