PHILLIPS MEDIA In a recent incident at Metford, a 46-year-old woman has been charged over an alleged stabbing that occurred yesterday (Saturday 5 August 2023). Emergency services responded to a reported brawl on Hakea Way around 9.50pm. A 46-year-old man sustained chest wounds and was taken to John Hunter Hospital in stable condition. Meanwhile, a 50-year-old woman was also taken to the hospital with an injury to her hand. Following the incident, officers from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District initiated an investigation and established a crime scene. Subsequently, the 46-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Maitland Police Station, where she now faces...
