News Update: Man Charged with Drug Possession After Lake Macquarie Home Search
A man has been charged with alleged drug possession following a police search at a Lake Macquarie residence early yesterday.
Around 12:25 am on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, police executed a search warrant at a home on St Clair Street, Bonnells Bay, as part of an ongoing investigation. The search, conducted by the Lake Macquarie Proactive Crime Team and Northern Region OSG, resulted in the alleged discovery and seizure of several items, including a firearm, machete, multiple knives, three motorbikes, and cannabis valued at approximately $2040.
A 24-year-old male resident was issued a court attendance notice for possession of a prohibited drug and is scheduled to appear before Toronto Local Court on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.
Investigations into the seized firearm and other items are continuing.
