The Owendale fire has broken containment lines on the eastern side of the fire which is inaccessible by fire crews, the air attack was unable to contain the breakout yesterday. Towns to the east of this fire should be watching this closely and preparing your fire plan. Fire crews believe the southern containment lines are strong and will hold. Crews will monitor the situation closely over the next few days and are currently working on plans for another backburn to protect towns east of the fire.
