Two teenage boys have been arrested following a high-intensity police operation across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie overnight — and it could have ended much worse. Around 10:50pm, officers on patrol in Gateshead attempted to stop a vehicle when a ute allegedly drove straight at police, swerving at the last second and narrowly avoiding impact.
