
Police Issue Over 70 Infringement Notices in Hunter Valley Traffic Operation
In a traffic operation conducted last week in the Hunter Valley, police issued more than 70 infringement notices. On Friday, July 12, 2024, Newcastle-Hunter Highway Patrol, with assistance from Hunter Valley Police District, Northern Region, the Dog Unit, and Police Rescue, targeted anti-social behavior and dangerous driving near the Cessnock area. The operation resulted in 103 random breath tests (RBTs) and one random drug test (RDT), which allegedly returned a positive result for cannabis.
