Police issue warning before Christmas.

Hunter Valley police have issued a warning to everyone not to keep Christmas presents or valuables in the car over the Christmas period.

There has been a spike in reports of cars broken into particularly around Cessnock and Kurri Kurri.

Police had the following to say

PLEASE –

** TAKE YOUR PRESENTS, WALLETS AND VALUABLES OUT OF THE YOUR CAR WHEN UNATTENDED.
** LOCK YOUR CAR, EVEN IN YOUR OWN DRIVEWAY
** REPORT ANYONE ACTING SUSPICIOUSLY

Remember thieves don’t go on Holiday and crime never stops, Christmas provides opportunities for thieves to hit easy targets.
