Police officer ran over, Three suspects in custody

Emergency services responded to one of their own this morning who was struck at high speed on Narara Valley Drive, Narara on the Central Coast.

The incident is believed to be connected to a high speed police chase, in which the police officer was setting up road spikes when the officer was struck at high speed.

The officer was airlifted to the Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.

Police immediately launched a man hunt for the offenders, Pol Air provided assistance from the air and was broadcasting messages to nearby locals to stay indoors.

Three suspects were arrested this afternoon and there is no longer a threat to community.

NSW police are yet to make a public statement on the shocking events that took place this morning on the central coast.
