Breaking News Alert: Juvenile suspects to appear in court over violent home invasion and police pursuit
Two juveniles are set to appear in court on Monday over an alleged violent home invasion and police pursuit, according to reports from 2NURFM.
As per the reports, up to 6 people forced their way into a home on Barton Street in Mayfield around 11.30pm on Sunday, assaulting the occupant and stealing a red Toyota Camry. Following the theft, the car was pursued by officers on multiple occasions between Newcastle, Maitland and Fern Bay at speeds of up to 140 km/hr.
Eventually, the police intercepted the vehicle near Fowler Street in Hamilton South, where a boy and girl were arrested. However, the search for other individuals involved in the incident is still ongoing.
