Prominent Channel Seven TV presenter Matt Doran triggered a frantic search by authorities when he went missing while on assignment. The network had sent the well-known journalist from Sydney to the Hunter Valley on Monday to report on the tragic bus crash that resulted in the loss of ten lives in Greta over the extended weekend.
However, Doran failed to appear for his scheduled appearance on Sunrise the following morning, leaving his colleagues concerned. In an effort to locate him, his producer visited his hotel in Singleton, only to find that there was no response when they knocked on his room door.
Growing increasingly worried, his colleagues reached out to the police, who promptly issued a missing persons alert throughout the region. The NSW Police informed Daily Mail Australia, “Earlier today, officers from Port Stephens Hunter Police District received a welfare concern report for a 40-year-old man.”
After conducting inquiries, officers successfully located a man shortly after the missing persons report was issued. The police have confirmed that no further action is required in this matter.
