Second Body Found in Teralba Fire

A second body has been located during a search of a unit destroyed by fire at Teralba earlier in the week. About 4.10am on Thursday 29 February 2024, emergency services were a called to a unit block on Railway Street, Teralba, after reports of a fire. Fire and Rescue NSW crews worked to extinguish the blaze; however, the unit sustained significant damage. Officers from Lake Macquarie Police District and the State Crime Command’s Arson Unit attended and have commenced inquiries into the incident.
