A senior NSW police officer has been charged with serious firearm offences after a banned weapon and thousands of rounds of gel ammunition were found in his Sydney home. The 58-year-old senior constable, who serves in a specialist command, is now at the centre of an internal investigation after the Professional Standards Command launched a probe in June 2025. Officers raided the constable’s home and allegedly seized a gel blaster firearm along with 10,000 gel balls.
