Man Charged After Alleged Drug Supply and Pursuit Incident Near Maitland In a dramatic turn of events today, a man has been charged following a drug supply investigation and an alleged pursuit near Maitland, where an officer sustained injuries. At approximately 11:40 am yesterday (Wednesday, March 6, 2024), officers from the Hunter Region Enforcement Squad (RES) made an attempt to halt a BMW sedan on Lawes Street, Maitland, in connection to an ongoing drug supply probe. However, the situation escalated when the driver of the BMW reportedly reversed, striking a NSW Police officer, before fleeing the scene. The injured officer received on-site medical attention...
