Stranger Danger Alert: Belmont Public School Issues Warning After Student Encounter
Belmont Public School has issued a serious warning to parents and students after a troubling incident over the weekend. At approximately 10:52 PM, a student was approached outside his home by a man attempting to lure him into a car. This same vehicle was later spotted near parks and sports grounds in Belmont, Belmont North, and Belmont South.
The car is described as having multiple colors, possibly featuring signage or a company logo, and being primarily white or silver. The suspect is an older man wearing a hi-vis jacket.
Belmont Public School is urging parents to remind their children about the importance of ‘stranger danger.’ Thankfully, the student involved recalled the child protection lessons from last term and immediately sought help from a parent. The school plans to revisit these critical safety messages with all students to ensure their continued awareness and vigilance.
