Strike team’s have been positioned for rapid response to any new fires or if existing fires break containment lines around the Hunter Valley for today’s extream fire conditions
Today temperatures will reach 45c with 20 to 30km North West Winds, with a strong Southerly changed expected to hit the Hunter Valley later tonight.
There are a number of Fires burning in the Greater Hunter most are contained or being controlled, except Kerrys Ridge and Mount Royal will be of biggest concerns later tonight when the Southerly change arrives.
