A suspicious fire broke out near the cemetery at Boomerang Park earlier today, it quickly spread to the forest with flames engulfing koala food trees planted by the community.
Five fire trucks from the RFS and NSW Fire and Rescue attended promptly and use thousands of litres water to put out the flames saving a culturally significant tree near the cemetery and the cemetery fence.
