A dramatic beach rescue unfolded at Shelly Beach on the Central Coast after a teenage boy was found unconscious in the water around 11:30 AM on Tuesday, February 4.
Quick-thinking bystanders rushed to his aid, pulling him to shore and immediately starting CPR. Paramedics from NSW Ambulance soon arrived, taking over treatment before the Westpac Rescue Helicopter’s critical care team landed to assist.
The teen was stabilised at the scene before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment. His current condition remains unknown.
