Vandals cut the head of a cow statue – Maitland

Maitland City council is appealing for information after the head of a cow statue was cut off, at the recently upgraded Bolwarra Lookout playground.

Deputy Mayor Mitchell Griffins said the clean up and repairs to the park could cost thousands of dollars

“It’s frustrating to see the recently upgraded Bolwarra Lookout playground has fallen victim to vandalism, with the repairs and cleaning expected to cost thousands in ratepayer dollars.”

“Maitland City Council invested over $150,000 into the redevelopment of this playground. It’s disappointing when community infrastructure like this is damaged because it closes it off for you and local families to use while repairs occur.” Said Deputy Mayor Mitchell Griffin.
