Around 1:30pm on Friday, 21 November 2025, residents in Anna Place, Wallsend were stunned when a massive water main burst and sent a towering column of water shooting into the air, flooding the entire cul-de-sac. Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Station 484 rushed in to find water gushing like a geyser and nearby homes already taking in water. Firefighters quickly deployed a portable pump to remove water from inside one of the affected homes, helping reduce damage and keeping residents safe.
