News Update: Cessnock Mother Takes to Social Media After Son’s Assault
A concerned mother in Cessnock has taken to Facebook to raise awareness after her 11-year-old son was assaulted while riding home from Nulkabar Public School.
The incident occurred around 3:30 pm on Wine Country Drive Road when a larger Caucasian male, described as bold and wearing a green shirt, red shorts, and purple slides, approached the boy and his friend.
The assailant allegedly grabbed the boy off his bike, broke his chain, and attempted to drag him into nearby bushland. However, the courageous young boy managed to fend off his attacker and sought refuge at a nearby house, where the homeowner promptly assisted him and safely transported him home.
NSW Police have been made aware of the incident.
