A water bombing helicopter has crashed North of Newcastle today at Crawlford river.
The pilot escaped uninjuried and as a result of the crash and the engine caught fire. Fire crews quickly responded and extinguish the fire.
Water bombers in the area have been all be grounded to complete safety checks.
