A 28-year-old woman is set to appear in court today following her arrest for allegedly breaching bail conditions, as part of the ongoing investigation into the fatal stabbing of a man in Newcastle late last year.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 17 November 2024, when emergency services were called to Beaumont Street in Hamilton. They discovered a 22-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the victim succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
Newcastle City Police District officers established a crime scene and launched Strike Force Mannum to investigate the homicide, with support from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.

As part of the investigation, four individuals—three men aged 27, 35, and 43, and a 33-year-old woman—were charged with murder. The 28-year-old woman was charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder and concealing a serious indictable offense. All five remain before the courts.
Yesterday evening (Wednesday, 29 January 2025), detectives arrested the 28-year-old woman at a residence on Dalywell Way in Raymond Terrace for allegedly violating her bail conditions. She was taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station, charged with breach of bail, and refused bail. She is scheduled to face Raymond Terrace Local Court today.
Meanwhile, a 33-year-old man arrested by Queensland Police on 24 November 2024 on unrelated matters remains in custody in Queensland.
