NSW Police believe the brutal stabbing attack on an unidentified man was targeted and there’s no ongoing threat to the public, in spite of no arrests have been made.
A strike force has been set up consisting of officers from Brisbane Water Police District and detectives from the homicide squad.
Emergency Services were called to Macarthur Street at Woy Woy about 6.15pm yesterday (Saturday 17 December 2022), where they found a man unconscious in the street with multiple stab wounds.
Officers from Brisbane Water Police District commenced CPR until the arrival of Ambulance paramedics; however, the man died at the scene.
While he is yet to be formally identified, it’s believed he is a 41-year-old local man.
Police established crime scenes at multiple locations, including on nearby Railway Street, where it’s believed the stabbing took place.
