A young girl has been airlifted to hospital after being injured in a horse-riding incident north of Newcastle.
Emergency services were called to sand dunes at Fullerton Cove about 4:30pm on Saturday, 2 May, following reports a rider had fallen from a horse.
NSW Ambulance requested assistance from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, which dispatched a helicopter to the remote location.
Paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team treated the girl at the scene for her injuries before she was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
Her condition has not been disclosed.
