Newcastle Knights have gone down 22 -13 at the McDonalds Jones Stadium in Newcastle, in an injury fueled match for the Knights.
The Knights finnished the Match with no one left on the bench with halfback Mitchell Pearce, fullback Tex Hoy, playmaker Kurt Mann leaving the field injured while star prop David Klemmer was on one leg with his knee strapped.
The Knights were praised by coach Adam O’ Brien for the bravery and not giving in to the Knight-Mare that could have easily seen the Dragons run away with the game on the scoreboard.
Mitchell Pearce tore his pectoral midway through the first half and could miss half the season.
