On Friday 10.04.2020, Merriwa Police were notified that a Toyota SUV had been stolen from a property in Neverfail Road, Merriwa. The owner reported that she saw a young male get into the vehicle and drive off. Around 2pm, Merriwa Police sighted the vehicle and attempted to stop it but it increased its speed to evade Police. Merriwa Police were assisted by a Highway Patrol officer who engaged in a pursuit. The vehicle now contained 4 occupants.
