A woman flees the scene of a crash with her 3-year-old son, but what police discover next is disturbing

A 33-year-old woman has been charged with multiple offenses after crashing her vehicle into a set of traffic lights at the intersection of Glendale Drive and Main Rd Glendale.

Police will allege the woman fled the scene with her 3-year-old-child. A short time later, police found the Woman and child. The woman was arrested. Police will also allege that she refused a roadside breath test.

The woman was taken back to the Toronto police station where she refused again to provide a breath test at the station. Police question the woman further and she reveals that she also has a 2-year-old child who has been left unattended at home.

Both children were placed into the care of a responsible person and a FACS notification was made. The woman was charged with:

  • Negligent driving
  • Not give particulars
  • Refuse or fail to submit to breath test
  • Refuse or fail to submit to breath analysis – 2nd offence
  • Neglect child or young person in his/her care
  • Not comply with noticed direction (Health Act ) no reasonable excuse to be out.

She is due to appear before Toronto Local Court on Tuesday 30 June 2020.
