About 10pm (Saturday 28 December 2019), officers from Lake Macquarie Police District attended Rhodes Street, Blackalls Park, after reports a large house party was out of control and spilling onto the street.
About 150 people spilled out onto the streets as police tried to break up the party, bottles were hurled at police and fights broke out.
Police called for back up including a police dog who was deployed to assist in arresting 1 violent offender who was treated for dog bites.
A 17-year-old girl was knocked unconscious as the violence continued to spill out on the streets, police are still investigating how she became unconscious.
