
Elderly woman rescued from car door by heroic volunteers and paramedics
In a heartwarming display of community spirit, a group of volunteers from the Volunteer Rescue Association (VRA) and NSW Ambulance came together to rescue an elderly woman trapped in her car door in Cessnock yesterday. At 1652, the VRA squad received an urgent call for a domestic rescue. Upon arriving at the scene, they found an elderly woman whose finger was trapped in the front of her car door. This was an unusual situation, as fingers are usually trapped near the handle of the car door. Fortunately, the woman had some quick-thinking neighbors who were on the scene before medical personnel arrived....
