Emergency services responded to a head-on collision between two vehicles on The Great North Road at Wollombi at approximately 5:48 pm on March 10th, 2023. Upon arrival, the NSW Ambulance team was already treating the casualties. However, one person remained trapped in one of the vehicles, and VRA Rescue NSW was activated to help. VRA Rescue NSW crews worked to stabilize the trapped individual’s vehicle before commencing the extrication process.
