A 43-year-old man from Ipswich, Queensland, has been charged following an alleged assault at a licensed premises in Newcastle West last month. Police say that around 11:15 PM on Saturday, March 15, a 31-year-old woman was assaulted at a venue on Union Street, suffering head and facial injuries that required medical treatment.
