A routine traffic stop in Maitland has turned into a major drug bust after police allegedly found a stash of methamphetamine worth over $14,000 on a motorcyclist. Just after 11pm on Sunday night (25 May 2025), officers patrolling Grant Street pulled over a motorcycle. The 26-year-old rider underwent a roadside breath and drug test, allegedly returning a positive result for meth. Police say a search of the man uncovered a significant quantity of methylamphetamine.
