
Historic Church Bell Stolen from Paterson’s St Ann’s Church
The Hunter Valley community is reeling after the theft of a 185-year-old church bell from the deconsecrated St Ann’s Presbyterian Church in Paterson. The bell, which holds significant historical value, was removed using an angle grinder between Thursday and Sunday afternoon, according to police reports. Chief Inspector Rob Post expressed concern that the bell may be melted down for its metal value.
